Mississippi : Tourist Hot Spots

Mississippi has something for everyone and the utmost attractions of the state are the several memorials from the ancient Mississippian culture. The blend of ancient and contemporary Mississippi attracts millions of tourists round the year to the state.

Tupelo:
Tupelo is the seventh largest city of Mississippi and most famous as the birthplace of Elvis Presley. It is one of the largest furniture manufacturing industries nationwide.
  • Elvis Presley’s Birthplace: The place is 15-acre park complex that contains museum, homes displays the life and personal items of Elvis Presley.
Vicksburg:
Vicksburg is famous for its location on a high bluff looking towards the Mississippi river. It is an important business and tourism center. The city has numerous sites to locate that attract many tourists round the year.
  • National Military Park: It is the main attraction of the city where civil war battle materials exhibited through battle scenarios, key events and other placements.
Jackson:
The city is the capital of Mississippi and also the largest city of the state. Jackson has many cultural attractions and the most modern development can also be seen as well.
  • Agricultural & Forestry Museum: The museum displays the cultural and ecological history through various exhibits of farm machinery, crop dusting planes and farms.
  • Mississippi Museum of Art: The museum displays excellent displays of modern American landscape paintings, ancient British art of 18th century, pre Columbian ceramics and a good collection of folk arts.
